Well, here we are. The past two years at Brunner have been life-changing and career-shaping. I've had the honor of shaping both national and local brands, and seeing my work out in the world is always surreal.
Huge thanks to Dan Magdich, the entire Brunner team, and the mentors and production partners who’ve taught me more than I could have imagined.
These years weren’t without challenges. I said goodbye to my lil black cat Fred, my ride-or-die from the mean streets of Detroit, who was there for every late-night brainstorm. During this time, I also embraced my gender identity, which has only added more creative flair to everything I do.
Also, a big shoutout to The Creative Circus for embedding the “never stop reaching for the next big idea” mindset in me. I'm sure it makes me a little annoying at work sometimes, but... its part of the job.
Here’s to embracing new challenges, seizing opportunities, staying humble, and making cool sh*t! – James
Goodwill of North Georgia. The "Go Big on Good" campaign built on 100% brand awareness to boost traffic, basket size, and attract new shoppers by highlighting the impact of shopping and donating. Now in its third year, it has surpassed goals for sales and engagement, with new brand work coming in 2025 we're super excited to keep pushing this inspiring brand.
Odor-Eaters, For my first national Odor-Eaters campaign, we featured so-called "experts" and a doctor endorsing it as the best solution "For Healthier Feet." Bold broadcast and social spots leveraged Blistex’s reputation to boost recognition in a crowded market.
LaRosa's, An iconic Cincinnati brand, LaRosa's has a proud legacy, and we’ve pushed its advertising to new heights, including content for the Cincinnati Reds. With exciting new work coming in 2025, we’re building on this strong foundation for the future.
Brunner Extracurriculars
Brunner's extracurriculars have been epic! From attending CropCon in Austin with my fellow AD Sing, to the annual "Battle of the Bras" for charity—where we showcased the headless horseman bra and this year’s "Double D's Danny DeVitos"—to countless town halls, happy hours, and killer parties outside of work, it’s been an incredible experience all around.
